Day 1 IMPHAL SIGHTSEEING

Fly into Imphal (flights via Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata). Proceed to visit Loktak Lake and Keibul Lamjao National Park. Loktak Lake is the largest fresh water lake in the North-East. The Keibul Lamjao National Park is located in the south western part of Loktak Lake is the only floating park in the world, visit INA Museum – containing letters, photograph, badges of ranks and other memorabilia that reminds the noble sacrifices made by the Indian National Army under the charismatic leadership of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and visit the War Memorial. In the afternoon visit Ima bazaar at Imphal.

Check in hotel and overnight at Imphal.

Day 2 IMPHAL TO KOHIMA

Morning after breakfast visit Kangla Fort, Govindjee temple then proceeds to Kohima (215 km/5hours) – the capital of Nagaland, a newly created state of India. Kohima is a beautiful town known to the world for halting the Japanese force during the Second World War. On the way visit the Heritage Village of Kohima, Kisama. On arrival at Kohima check in hotel.

Day 3 KOHIMA TO KAZIRANGA

Today morning ready for Kohima sightseeing. At Kohima visit – World War II Cemetery & Khonoma village. Then drive to Kaziranga. Check in hotel on arrival at Kaziranga. Evening free for leisure. O/N at Kaziranga.

(Note – To visit Dzouku Valley and Japfu Peak – have to trek and it is a moderate trekking and it require minimum 1 day from Kohima. Drives to Kaziranga after visit the sightseeing in Kohima, it will not possible to do Jeep Safari at Kaziranga because the reporting time of evening Safari is 2.30 PM last)

Day 4 KAZIRANGA TO BOMDILA

Early morning go for Elephant ride (5.30-6.30 PM) and Jeep Ride(7.30 PM-9.45PM) in the Central / western range of the park then back to resort and have breakfast, then drive to Bomdila (245km/8hours) - the headquarter of west Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. On arrival at Bomdila check in to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 5 BOMDILA TO TAWANG

This morning check out from hotel & visit Bomdila Monastery & proceed to Tawang via Dirang (see Hot Spring) (180km) – the land of Monpa Tribes & major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world’s second highest pass – Sela Pass (13700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Sela Lake. And visit Jaswantgarh, a memorial to the brave soldier who single handily tried to hold of approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. On arrival at Tawang check in hotel. O/N at Tawang.

Day 6 TAWANG SIGHTSEEING

After Breakfast, visit the Tawang Monastery. The Monastery is 400 year old and adorned with the 18 ft. High statue of Lord Buddha. Also visit the very famous Tawang War Memorial. Evening free for leisure. O/N stay at Tawang.

 (Note - P.T.TSo Lake, Sangester Lake and Bumla Pass is restricted for foreigners)

Day 7 TAWANG TO BOMDILA

Morning drive to Bomdila. On the way enjoy the beauty and majesty of Jung Water Fall and visit Kiwi Garden at Dirang valley. Evening free for leisure. O/N at Bomdila.

Day 8 BOMDILA TO TEZPUR

Today morning after breakfast drive to Tezpur (160 Kms). En-route visit Tipi Orchidarium a place over 500 orchids, on display there are some rare species of orchid. Arunachal has largest range of orchids in the country then take a break to visit Nag Temple On arrival check in your hotel. O/N at Tezpur.

Day 9 TEZPUR TO SHILLONG

After breakfast check out from hotel & transfer to Shillong (280km) - known as the ‘Scotland of the East’. En-route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake. At Shillong visit Wards’ lake, Cathedral of Merry.  Check in hotel on arrival at Shillong.  O/N at Shillong.

Day 10 EXCURSION TO MAWLYNNONG

Today after breakfast, explore Mawlynnong (90km, approx) – claimed to be the cleanest village of Asia. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock.  Evening drive back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong

Day 11 EXCURSION TO CHERRAPUNJI

After breakfast, will go for a day long excursion to Cherrapunjee (65km, approx) – the wettest place in the world. At Cherrapunjee enjoy the numerous waterfalls like Nohkalikai falls, Seven sister falls and Mawsmai cave. On way to Cherrapunjee will visit Elephant falls and Shillong Peak – to have a bird eye view of the Shillong city. Evening drive back to Shillong and stay overnight.

(It is not possible to cover the all destinations in one single day, if you want visit Dain-Thlen Falls, Noh-Sngithiang Falls and Thangkharang Park along with the above sightseeing in Cherrapunji then require extend one more day)

Day 12 SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Guwahati (100km). At Guwahati visit – Kamakhya Temple & the Umananda Temple in the midst of the River Brahmaputra. Evening drop at Guwahati Airport for your onward journey.

(Evening River Cruise is start from 4.30 – 5.30 PM, so please check your return flight timing and if time permit then do it at your own payment)
