Day 1 PRAGUE

On arrival in Prague, the capital of the Czech republic, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Prague

Day 2 PRAGUE

This morning, enjoy a half day guided panoramic & walking tour of Prague.  You will see the Estates Theatre, where the premiere of W. A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni opera was held. We will travel along to the National Theatre and on to Smetana Embankment to admire the marvellous view of Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. We will go around the Old Town and the New Town, and see Wenceslas Square, consider to be the heart of Prague; this is where Czech history was written. We then see Charles Square and the Dancing House at the river. We will cross the river to reach the Lesser Quarter, dominated by Saint Nicholas Church. You will see Prague Castle, pass by Saint Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and Saint George’s Convent to reach the Old Castle Stairs. The last part of the tour is by foot; you will explore the Prague Castle Area, Charles Bridge, Klementinum, the Townhall (not available Nov 1-Mar 31) and the Old Town Square with its famous Astronomical Clock, dating back to 1410. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. Overnight in Prague

Day 3 PRAGUE-VIENNA

After breakfast travel overland to Austria’s capital city, Vienna, a city that was once the imperial and cultural center of Europe as well as the seat of the Habsburg Empire in the 18th century. Travel through the picturesque landscape of Bohemia and Moravia, towards the southern border of the Czech Republic. Approximately 3 1/2 hours later, we will arrive in Vienna, a cultural and architectural masterpiece divided by Europe’s largest river, the Danube. Travel along the famous Ringstrasse, a grand boulevard built in the 1880’s by Emperor Franz Joseph I on the site of demolished city walls. Take a look at the impressive Vienna State Opera, home of the famous: Opera Ball which takes place every year. Not far from the opera, you will see the grand Hofburg Palace, the former winter residence of the imperial family. Next you will see the monumental buildings of the Museum of Art History and the Museum of Natural History. Further sights on our tour are the neoclassical Parliament, the acclaimed Burgtheatre and the striking city hall, where the Legendary Life Ball takes place.  Afterwards you will be taken to the hotel to check in. Day 4 VIENNA

Follow in the footsteps of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the film \"The Sound of Music\". This bus tour takes you to Salzburg, where you will visit the most popular sights of the city.

Relax on our comfortable bus while we drive to Salzburg. On the journey, you will get the first impression of the beauty of the Salzkammergut countryside with its clear lakes and majestic mountains.  \"The Sound of Music\" fans will recognise the landscape from the opening scenes of the film. On arrival in Salzburg, take a guided walk through the historical centre of Salzburg. One of the famous scenes of \"The Sound of Music\" was filmed in the gardens of the Mirabell Palace. It was here that Maria sang, together with the children, the song “Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So” at the fountain and on the steps. As well you will see the horse pond and the riding school where Baron Trapp sang the “Edelweiß song” as a farewell. A real highlight of the tour to Salzburg is the Getreidegasse, the street where Mozart’s birthplace is located. This narrow street still reminds us of the 18th century. Other tourist attractions on our sightseeing tour include the University Church, St. Peter’s Abbey, Salzburg Cathedral and the Festival Hall. You will have some time at your disposal to explore the city, eat lunch or shop for souvenirs until the departure at 4 p.m. Estimated arrival time in Vienna is approximately 8:15 p.m.

Day 5 VIENNA-BUDAPEST

Today we depart for Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Discover the most beautiful tourist attractions by bus and on a guided walk through the historic centre. Travel through the Hungarian lowlands to Budapest. On arrival in Budapest, the tour will begin in the district of Pest. You will see the most popular tourist attractions such as the neo-Gothic Parliament, the magnificent Opera House and the impressive Heroes’ Square.  You will have free time for lunch (not included) before touring the district of Buda on foot.  Discover the historic Royal Palace, the romantic Fishermen’s Bastion, Matthias Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Margaret Island with its gorgeous parks and recreational facilities.  At the end of our city tour of Budapest, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.  Overnight in Budapest

Day 6 BUDAPEST

Visit the beautiful Baroque Palace in Gödöll?. After only a 30-minute drive from Budapest we arrive to the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and Francis Joseph (Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian King from 1867-1916). This visit to Gödöll? Palace gives you a glimpse of times under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. You will become acquainted with the secrets of the private life, the hidden doors, rooms and lovers of the royal couple. After the guided tour through the Gödöll? you have the opportunity to have a coffee break (not included) and look around the souvenir shop. The tour ends in the city centre.Over night at budapest.
